Close-up of young woman's eyeWhen they're not falling over or making fools of themselves, you may, on occasion, find yourselves gazing in envy at the celebs.

And when they've been photographed by the best in the business it's not difficult to see why.Well, your chance to emulate the likes of Kate Moss may well have arrived.

Famed photographer Jillian Edelstein is embarking on a mission. In collaboration with Sony Ericsson, to celebrate the launch of their new Satio handset on Vodafone, Jillian is on the hunt for "real people".

Her aim is to capture the individuality of 121 eyes in just 12.1 hours, as part of her "Eyes Wide Open" project.

But having photographed the Jerry Halls and Nelson Mandelas of the world, Jillian is excited about the prospect of some less famous subjects.

She told Marie Claire that the appeal of shooting real subjects "is that they are real".

"We're all so seduced and enamoured with celebrity. We forget, or want to forget reality.

"Getting back to that reality comes as a relief; I love affording the importance and dignity to real people that they deserve."

Jillian will be selecting 61 participants who will then attend an exclusive photo shoot at the flagship London Vodafone store in December.
