Wow, is that the same Tyra Banks of America's Next Top Model?

The ex-model was spotted showing off her new slim figure on a photoshoot in New York recently, having lost an amazing 30lbs and dropped 4 dress sizes to regain the size-8 figure of her modelling days.

Tyra, who is 5ft10in, hit the headlines two years ago after gaining 30lb. At her heaviest she weighed 11-and-a-half stone and was a size 14-16.

The former Victoria's Secret model said she feels fantastic for shedding the weight. "I always feel great when I don't have clothes on," quotes the Daily Mail.

The 35-year-old went on to say: "When I told the world to kiss my fat a**, I remained that size for two years. I maintained it with my ice cream and my salad with ranch and dressing and croutons and bacon bits."

Tyra admits the nasty names of 'Tyra Pork Chop' and headlines such as 'America's Next Top Waddle' were painful, but says she still felt hot being curvy.At her heaviest, she told People magazine: "I still feel hot, but every day is different. It's when I put on the jeans that used to fit a year ago and don't fit now and give me the muffin top, that's when I say, 'Damn!"

She added: "I get so much mail from young girls who say, "I look up to you, you're not as skinny as everyone else, I think you're beautiful," So when they say that my body is 'ugly' and 'disgusting', what does that make those girls feel like?"

Tyra is clearly over the moon with her new slim figure. "I feel more comfortable when I'm lighter – I sleep better, I snore less, I have more endurance when I work out, my arms look better," she said.

Along with the weight, Tyra has also lost her famous fake hair. "I've worn weaves and wigs and pieces and clip-ons and clip-outs and clip-downs and around since I was 17, 18, and I wanted to show the real me, " she told Larry King last week.

"I wanted to show the raw me... It felt so liberating. I have worn fake hair since I was 17 years old."
