Talking point: GPS locator for kids
If you find it hard to keep track of your kids, you may be pleased to know a new GPS locator device for children will be on sale in the UK in March.
Concerned parents can get text or email updates, accurate to within 10ft (3m), of their child's location.
The Nu.M8 device is concealed within a digital watch and will trigger an alert if forcibly removed from a child's wrist.
Parents will be able to see the child's location on Google maps, plus the street and postcode.
The idea behind the watch, which will cost £149.99 plus a £9.99 monthly subscription, is to give children more freedom. But the price they pay for that freedom is that mum and dad are watching them.
What do you think? Is it a good idea or another frightening step towards total Big Brother surveillance? Leave a comment to let us know what you think...
